After the ordeal at the gas station, we got back into the car and headed for the border. When we arrived at the border crossing, we managed to find a place to park (it was very crowded).
There was a line waiting to enter the building that was
mentioned in the Honest Guides video. Because we knew that there should be automated
payment machines somewhere nearby, we went in search of the elusive payment
kiosk.
They were, as described in the video, just around the corner
of the building.
It took us a few minutes to figure out the machine, but we
did manage to purchase the toll pass. As we were fidgeting with the machine, I
noticed that several people were watching us from afar. At first I was a bit
concerned, but I realized that they were watching us so that they could understand
how to use the machines after we left.
With that bit of trauma behind us, we headed back to the car
for the ride to Prague.
